After School Programs
We have exciting news! The Y-ASES Program will return in person on August 19, 2021, the first day of school. Y-ASES is an after-school program that provides a safe physical and social-emotional environment that supports positive relationships. The program operates daily from school dismissal until 6:00 pm and children are required to attend 5 days a week. The program is funded by a state grant and has attendance requirements for participating students.
We are going to ask for your cooperation and patience while we transition to our normal programming. Y-ASES is in the process of hiring additional qualified staff, but this will take some time. As a result, we will start off with a smaller number of student participants in order to ensure adequate staff-to-student ratios at each of our sites.
If you are interested in having your child attend the Y-ASES after-school program please complete the interest form (one for each child) which is now online. The interest form link will be open starting at 6 pm on Sunday, August 8th (link below). Enrollment into the program will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Completion of the interest form does not guarantee your enrollment, you will either be accepted into the program or added to the waitlist.
Returning students and siblings, followed by pupils who are identified by the program as foster or homeless youth, as defined by the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. Sec. 11434a) will be given priority. If we do not receive your interest form by Monday, August 9th by 6 pm, you will lose your priority status.
Interest Form Link HERE opens at 6 pm on Sunday, 8/8/2021 (if you click on the link before it opens, you will receive an error message that states “we are no longer accepting responses”). All interested families will be notified of their enrollment status by Wednesday, August 11 via an email from the school site Y-ASES Coordinator.
